Limassol Toastmasters Club
was founded in October 1994 and chartered in February 1995. The club
meetings are conducted in English, attended by members of many different
nationalities. Meetings are held every third Thursday at the Atlantica Miramare Beach Hotel, Limassol at
8.30pm , except during the summer months of July and August (see
Meeting Dates).
The meetings
are conducted during dinner and are typically attended by around 30 to 40
members and guests. The format of the meeting includes the introduction of
guests, a brief business session, Word of the Day, Table Topics, and Prepared
Speeches. Occasionally Guest Speakers are invited to attend the
meetings and Club Speakers (members) periodically conduct education and training
sessions for the benefit of fellow members. Prospective members are
encouraged to attend three or four meetings as guests before applying for
membership.
Membership of
Limassol Toastmasters is open to all adults (over 18) and guests are very
welcome to join the meetings, but should contact the Sergeant-at-Arms in advance
or any member of the committee (Committee
